Meteor Garden
Meteor Garden is a 2001 Taiwanese Play starring Jerry Yan, Barbie Hsu, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu. It is based on Japanese sh?jo manga series, Boys Over Flowers, written by Yoko Kamio. Comic Ritz International Production with Angie Chai as manufacturer produced it and led by Cai Yuexun.
The series was broadcast in Taiwan on Chinese Television System to 16 April 2001 from 1-2 August 2001. A supplementary mini-series, Meteor Rain was produced in April 2001 and the sequel Meteor Garden II has been broadcast from 11 November 2002 to 25 December 2002. The series is the very first live-action television adaptation of the manga, followed Meteor Garden II and Japanese Hana Yori Dango, its own sequel Hana Yori Dango Returns along with South-korean Boys Over Flowers.
At the series' conclusion, F4 Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to perform together and published three studio records. They stopped the usage of their name"F 4" at 2007 in the conscience of Japanese publisher Shueisha, that owns the copyright to Hana Yori Dango, in order to prevent any confusion with the Japanese and South Korean version of the live-action adaptations of their manga. The group has since been renamed"JVKV", by the first initial of their quartet as a way of age.
