Kick
Kick is a Australian television show which was broadcast on SBS television June 2007 on 9. It is located in Brunswick. The show follows the adventures of crazy twenty-something Miki Mavros who's forced to go back in with her Greek-Australian parents on Hope Street after a failed attempt to"make it big". Miki begins are a secretary for suave Anglo-Indian Dr. Joe Mangeshkar, who has a girl friend called Jan, and things spiral out of control. Miki oversees a neighbourhood soccer team, hence the series title Kick.
The show also follows the adventures of Miki's acquaintances on Hope Street, including the Salim family, a Lebanese-Australian Muslim family having allies Amen, Osama"Ozzie", Taghred along with Layla. Amen can be a aspiring entrepreneur with questionable integrity. Osama has a beat on Taghred's friend Tatiana and is moving right through average teenage angst. Taghred is a football celebrity. Layla is but everything changes when Layla falls for fencer Jackie.
