Mungo Morrison is a mole who's due to begin work in the side within the legendary goldmine of their hometown of his father. Mungo secretly dreams of becoming a pro footballer while his best friends are eager to maintain the mine. However, powerless to play football in bright light and desperate to not upset his father, in addition to being a mole that is little, Mungo resigns himself to life as a miner. After the mine is forced to power down after a mysterious injury, an gold-obsessed and evil supervillain known just as'The Boss', attempts to frighten the townsfolk. Against all odds and with just a bit of assistance from his whacky friends, Mungo begins an epic experience of excitement, laughs, action and danger, as he hurtles towards the Wild Cup football finals in Russia and also a final, magnificent showdown with'The Boss.'
