From the mean streets of Paris into the magnificent lime-light of New York's most famous concert halls' area, love and Edith Piaf's life was a continuing battle to sing and live, to live. Raised in her grandmother's brothel, Piaf was detected in 1935 by nightclub owner Louis Leplee, who persuaded her to sing even though her nervousness. Piaf became one of France's immortal icons , her voice one of this 20th century's signatures.
